McCool Ministries

H.J. "Jim" McCool, Jr. has a vision to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to hurting nations and people. In 2014 Jim established McCool Ministries under the covering of World Ministry Fellowship. Jim received Jesus as his Savior at the age of 16. From the time he was born again he wanted to share Jesus with others. A few years later God called him into the ministry which led him to enroll in Southwestern Assemblies of God University in 1977. That same year another wonderful event happened: he met Lisa Sadler who would become his wife in May of 1978. From their union came four beautiful daughters, Leslie, Nikki, Robyn and Vanessa. Jim completed his BS degree in Missions in 1980. In the years following graduation, Jim and Lisa served as Youth Pastor and then Senior Pastor of two churches before moving to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo in 1987. They lived in Kinshasa for more than one and a half years and saw much fruit from their ministry. Their next mission trip took them to the Republic of South Africa where Jim was the administrator of Message of Faith Bible Training College in Kwa Mashu Township near Durban. Lisa was busy being mother to their four daughters but she also found time to teach the Word of God at the College. Ministry in South Africa also included teaching and preaching among the Indian populations and in the Zululand area. They returned to America in 1991 and became pastor of Lighthouse Christian Center in Perry, OK in 1992. They pastored Lighthouse until 2001. While in Perry, Lisa completed her BSN degree and became a Registered Nurse and Jim completed his Master of Divinity at Oral Roberts University. Jim began working as a chaplain for Hospice Quality Care in 2003 and continues to serve in that capacity.

Lisa has worked as an RN since 2000, serving hospitals in Perry, OK, Baptist Integris Hospital in Oklahoma City and the Veterans Hospital in Oklahoma City. In December of 2013 she completed a Master’s Degree in Nursing Education at Oklahoma Baptist University and now works for Metro Tech as an instructor, teaching LPNs.Jim thought that his missionary days were over but as the Holy Spirit said by the Apostle Paul, “The gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable”(Romans 11:29). He had the opportunity to go to Lubumbashi in the Congo on a mission trip in 2008. The next year he went to Kinshasa and had a wonderful reunion with the church that he had worked with many years before. He went to Kinshasa again in 2010 and during that mission trip, he heard God say, “This is what I have called you to do.” He took a team of ministers back to Kinshasa in 2012 and conducted an evangelistic crusade and minister’s conference. They saw many saved and healed. Another field opened to him in May of 2013 – the country of Liberia in West Africa. He made a second trip to Liberia in February of 2014 and helped build a new church in Saclepea. The church has seen amazing growth since then. In October of last year, he went for the first time to Uganda with a team to conduct a minister’s conference. He plans to return again to conduct leadership conferences for the church in Uganda. Jim has been ordained with World Ministry Fellowship in Plano, TX since 1986 and has served on the Advisory Board and Central Ordination Council. He served several years as the Assistant State Director for Oklahoma for WMF and is also the International Director for the Congo. Jim also holds credentials with the Independent Assemblies based in Oklahoma.

" And then he told them, 'Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.'"
