A Welcome From Our Pastor

I had worked for 12 years as a hospice chaplain and was perfectly content. My wife, Lisa, an RN, and I had served as pastors and missionaries and I was convinced that pastoral ministry was in the past. But in September of 2015 the founding pastor of NBFC retired and in February of 2016, I became the new pastor. Surprise, Surprise! Since then, I have learned to love this wonderful group of believers and count it a blessing to be the pastor of some of the finest people on the face of the earth. So, here is our direction -

We want to be a place where people from all races and all walks of life can BEGIN a New Life in Jesus. Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life and He offers abundant life to anyone who calls on Him! We also want to be a place where people can make a new and fresh start - a New Beginning. Life hurts at times and sometimes we think, "I wish I could just start over or make a new start in life." You can! The past can't be erased, but God is ready to do something new and wonderful in your life. He has a "New Beginning" waiting for you!

We also want to be a place where people can BELONG to a wonderful group of Jesus-followers. We aren't perfect but we love Jesus, want to follow His Spirit and live pleasing to God. We are committed to be an accepting and loving church family without compromising the truths of His Word.

Finally, we want to be a place where people can BECOME everything God has for them. We believe God has a wonderful destiny for each of us and that His plan is not one of failure or destruction but of victory and fulfillment!

Why not come visit us so we can meet you. Remember that "If God is for us, who can be against us" Romans 8:31. God is for you!

What are your worship experiences like?

Worship experiences on Sunday mornings typically last an hour and a half. We gather together to sing praise, listen to a message and pray. Music is contemporary Christian and is presented by a talented team of musicians. The messages are Bible based and relevant to our everyday lives. Don't be surprised if someone shakes your hand or gives you a hug. We're excited to be together, and we're inspired by God's love for us. Our hope is that you will feel at home with family! Worship experiences on Wednesday evenings last an hour and a half also. We gather together for an adult Bible study. Wednesday is a relaxing time of fellowship, learning and growing with family in the Word of God.

What about my kids?

On Sunday mornings we have programs during the main worship for all children from infant to grade 6.

What's expected of me?

Nothing really. Just come as you are and be our guest. We're honored that you would choose to spend some time with us.

What should I wear?

Casual and comfortable. You'll see people wearing everything from shorts and flip-flops or jeans and t-shirts to nice slacks and dresses. It's up to you. Come as you are.
